This work focuses on the vulnerabilities of a child facing life’s challenges, and the ways we learn to overcome fear and cope with adversity. The book takes the form of a dress, turning the familiar garment into a protective space. The mother’s skirt becomes a refuge—a place to hide, feel safe, and process emotions. By transforming the book into a wearable form, I connect memory, identity, and personal history, using the physicality of the piece to embody both protection and resilience.
